For some, getting their hands dirty with the blood of Superman is as simple as getting the drop on him when he's not quite finished getting changed in that phone booth, and blammo! Hit him with some Kryptonite or your own unwieldly spiky hands! In some cases, it's even easier than that. People have gotten Superman to kill himself. Not by lowering his self-esteem or by making him realise that the infinite abyss will one day swallow him up (although both would also be sound tactics) but by playing up to his other major weakness magic. That's how Dr Light attempts to do Superman in, by hypnotising him into committing suicide. Obviously, the Man Of Steel's invulnerable head would deflect any bullets shot at it, and he wouldn't be able to resist soaring into the sky if he leapt of a bridge. So the nefarious Dr Light specifies that he must track down a magic wand, which the villain then uses to murder Superman. Luckily Batman turns up and uses the wand to reverse the spell.
