DC Comics / Jason Fabok

In Geoff Johns and Jason Fabok's series, Batman: Three Jokers, Batman's family learns that there are... well, three Jokers. Not only that, there have been three versions of Batman's nemesis for many, many years, masquerading as the same person.

In this saga, the clown trio have made themselves publicly known for the first time in order to execute their latest plan to ruin Batman's life.

After Jason Todd and Batgirl imprison one of these doppelgängers, (who's referred to as Clown Joker), it only takes a few seconds before the pernicious prankster gets in their heads. Clown Joker reveals he is the one who battered Jason with a crowbar, leaving him for dead in the famous story, Batman: Death in the Family.

As the colourful criminal continues to taunt Jason, the former Robin threatens to kill him. Even though Batman ordered his family never to take a life, Jason can only be pushed so far, and as readers will know, he has a track record for killing people anyway.

Nevertheless, Clown Joker continues to ridicule Jason, telling Batgirl that his last words were "I'll be your Robin" if he let him live.

Unable to hear any more of the Joker's taunts, Jason puts a bullet in the Clown Prince's head, killing him once and for all.
