10 Weirdly Specific Powers You Didn't Know Superman Has

5. Super-Hypnosis

Hypnosis is conditioning technique involving focusing a subject's attention to make them highly suggestible. While there is some debate about the effectiveness of the techniques, it does require professional training and experience to be done correctly.

Unless you're Superman. Then you can just stare people in the eyes and apparently hypnotize them - something he first did in Action Comics #32 to undo a memory wipe on Lois Lane.

The worst part about this power is that it requires Superman to act like a creepy weirdo who makes way too much eye contact. It doesn't matter if he's one of the greatest heroes who has ever existed. If he stands there staring you in the eyes like a lunatic for five straight minutes in an effort to make you act like a chicken, you're calling the cops.

Imagine opening the curtains of your 30th story apartment and seeing Superman floating there. It's already an off-putting experience. Now, he keeps staring you in the eyes in an attempt to hypnotize you. That's a whole lotta nope.
