10 Worst Ever Avengers

Doctor Druid was actually one of Marvel's first heroes, first debuting in 1961. In his first appearance, he was called Dr. Droom and received magic powers that turned him Asian. You can probably see why he was initially abandoned.

Years later, he was reintroduced as Dr. Druid, a (completely white) wizard selected by the Ancient One to serve as a back-up for Doctor Strange. Yes, his entire existence was based around being Stephen Strange's understudy.

Druid joined the Avengers to help them out with his magic and amazing powers of mind-control. He demonstrated those powers by getting easily mind-controlled by the villain Terminatrix and betraying the team. Embarrassed, Druid quit the Avengers and took up the ultimate badge of shame, leading the Secret Defenders.

Then he got mind-controlled again by a demon and betrayed that team as well. Even more embarrassed, he faked his own death and became an actual druid. This time he wasn't mind-controlled by anyone; instead he went crazy and was eventually killed by Damian Hellstrom, the Son of Satan.

It's probably for the best that he never took over from Doctor Strange, as he'd probably have done more damage to the world himself than Dormammu could ever hope to do.
