7. Gilgamesh
This character's full title is Gilgamesh, the Forgotten One. You can probably see where this is going.
Gilgamesh is a member of the Eternals, a race of immortal superpowered beings who were created by the Celestials. Over the years, they have often been mistaken for gods and mythic heroes.
In Avengers #300, with most of the team missing, Captain America assembled a new team of Avengers with Thor and three new members. Gilgamesh was one of those new members (the other two will be appearing later on this list).
The main problem with Gilgamesh is that he's basically just a less interesting version of Thor or Hercules, another superstrong guy who talks in ye olde English. The only thing remarkable about him is how damn ridiculous he looks in his cow skull helmet.
Gilgamesh left the team after the supposedly invulnerable god was wounded in battle. Sticking true to his name, he was mostly forgotten about until he was killed by an agent of Kang the Conquerer.
He later came back as part of the Eternals series. However, it seemed he was able to pass on his curse to his entire race and the Eternals quickly faded into obscurity.
