10 Worst Things Comic Villains Have Done To Regular People

3. The Lord Weird Slough Feg Eats A Third Of Healthy Children - 2000 AD

Of all the regular people in this regular world of ours, who would you say is the least deserving to be eaten alive by a horrifying deity who lives in a cave? Although it's a fate that none of us would choose for anyone, it would be best to keep children out of it altogether. After all, they've got their entire lives ahead of them, and stand the least chance of being able to defend themselves.

Unfortunately, that is exactly what the Lord Weird Slough Feg demands. Every six years, if the local villagers want a good yield of crops, they must sacrifice a third of their healthy children to him, the High Priest of the Drune Lords. This has been going on for 20,000 years, so while it's been great for the crops, it has not been so great for the kids.

Not dissimilar to a few other religious organisations we could think of, the Drune Lords cover up this horrific abuse of power by engaging in philanthropy. Offering food, shelter, and education to orphans sounds like a pretty sweet deal, until you realise that it's all a ruse to lure those orphans into their clutches and fatten them up for the kill.
