10 Worst Things Iron Fist Has Ever Done

2. Destroying The Tree Of Immortality

Iron Fist Blood
Marvel Comics

The fact that Daniel Rand was never tempted by the Tree of Immortality - that resides in Fists' old training ground and home - is generally used as a way to show he is heroic, and unable to be tempted by things that most people would.

However, Iron Fist: The Living Weapon takes this concept to its logical conclusion, and in doing so, makes Iron Fist himself look pretty bad. Upon returning to K'un-Lun, Rand finds the place has been practically destroyed in an attack, and appears to kind of lose it.

At least, this is the only way to explain what happens next, as upon being offered immortality from the tree - for the second time - Rand flies into a rage and obliterates the tree, ruining any potential for it to be used ever again.

As Iron Fist was never offered the fruit out of spite - and as the society in K'un-Lun did somewhat revolve around the tree - this ends up making Rand look more like a sulking child than a tortured hero, which is never a great look.
