10 Worst Things Spider-Man Has Ever Done
5. He Hit Mary Jane
It's kind of worrying how many of Marvel's superheroes have hit their wives. While Hank Pym is the most famous example, Peter Parker is a far more shocking member of that club.
Even by Spidey standards, the nineties were pretty rough for Pete. Apart from having to deal with a pretty dodgy haircut, he also found out that he was only a clone of the real Peter Parker and had been living a lie all these years. Ben Reilly, the man Pete thought was his clone, turned out to be the original Spider-Man.
Peter was less than enthused by the news and flew into a rage at the man he thought was trying to steal his life. Mary Jane stepped in to stop the fight and Peter used his incredible power of immediately punching anyone behind him without looking to knock her across the room. Making this even worse is that Mary Jane was pregnant at the time.
It all worked out in the end though. Peter came back to his senses, Ben was revealed to be the real clone all along and the whole clone debacle was never mentioned again except by unscruplious listicle writers.
