10 Worst Things Tony Stark Has Ever Done

3. He Literally Became Evil Under The Influence Of Kang

‘The Crossing’ was a Marvel event that ran in 1995 across Avengers, Iron Man and Force Works. Over the run, Iron Man murders Yellowjacket, Marilla, Gilgamesh and revealed himself to have been a traitor, working with Kang for years.

To be fair, Kang was sort of controlling him while he blacked out, but the only way the Avengers found a way to stop Tony was by pulling his younger self through time and having the young Stark and old Stark battle it out. When Tony confessed his crimes to the team, it seems evident that he, at least on some level, was acting consciously, albeit after being manipulated by Kang.

All things considered it was a confusing and messy run, and Marvel have tried hard since to ensure everyone forgets about it. This is probably a good thing, as secretive, serial killing Stark didn’t hang too well with Iron Mans fans.
