4. Richard Dragon
Even though Ricardo Diaz Jr. is worthy of his own spot on this list for being a double hard character, it's the original Dragon that's receiving pride of place today. It all starts for the young Richard Dragon when he sneaks into a dojo to steal a priceless jade Buddha, only to get a serious kicking from one of the students, Ben Turner.
Instead of finding himself in jail for his attempted crime, O-Sensei the dojo master takes him under his wing and trains him. He becomes a Master in his own right and starts a career in crime-fighting which puts him in direct conflict with Guano Cravat. Cravat murders Carolyn Wu-San and frames Richard for it, which brings him to the attention of a future Lady Shiva, Sandra Wu-San, who challenges him to a fight to the death. He defeats her and proves his innocence and she team up with him an Ben to become a crime-fighting trio.
It's also worth noting that Richard Dragon is also responsible for training the Question, Oracle, and Huntress, which is pretty damn impressive considering how important these three are in the DC Universe.
