At least the Rosh-Ha'ayin Road Warrior was doing a passable job of role-playing the wall-crawler, if we assume that Spidey is in some bizarre future hellscape where all cars are the enemy and must be webbed to a standstill to protect the populace. But you can't really justify stealing thirty guns of various types from a Powhatan store, can you? Well, let's give it a try. Spider-Man was just... worried about gun violence and its effects on the modern world. This is part of his master plan to remove guns from all society. After all, what killed his Uncle Ben? A gun! What killed his policewoman friend Jean DeWolff? A nut with a gun! What killed Gwen Stacy? Being dropped from a bridge! Bridges are next.
