12 Best Redesigns Of Superhero Costumes

3. Catwoman

Spider-Man Black Suit
DC Comics

Until Darwyn Cooke came along, all of Catwoman's outfits were designed more to draw the eye than assist her in her criminal endeavors. From skintight purple to gaudy green and all sorts of combinations in between, Catwoman was certainly alluring, but it was hard to imagine her sneaking through windows and pawing through valuables in any of those get-ups.

Hell, at least the outfits on the sixties Batman show were all black with clawed fingertips. That's utilitarian!

Cooke, on the other hand, gave us a goggled and jet black Catsuit, one that looked tailor-made for slipping through dark corridors and into tight spaces for the valuables of the rich and influential.

It's seen alterations since, but back then, Gotham's resident thieving extraordinaire had a costume worthy of her skills and reputation.
