When you take a gander at Daredevil's original yellow-and-red ensemble, it's easy to want to make a joke about the blind man dressing himself. After all, it's gaudy as hell, even if the basic fundamentals - like the horns on the mask - are all there.
Thankfully, the Man Without Fear would go all crimson afterward, creating one of the all-time great costumes in all of superherodom. The red not only patterns nicely with the shadows in which Daredevil must work, but also allows for all sort of visual delights as his violent and vicious foes paint the streets of New York with the blood of their victims.
And, in case you're wondering, no, the second big costume change for Daredevil does not make the list. His red-and-black Rollerball remake gear was a hamfisted attempt to make him edgier - literally, considering those shoulder-pads - and it was both unnecessary and underwhelming.
