12 Spider-Man Questions That Always Confused You

10. How Strong Is Spider-Man?

Spider-Man Questions
Marvel Comics

After being bitten by an irradiated arachnid, Spider-Man obtained "the proportional strength of a spider". Because of this, Spider-Man can lift 20 tons, which is the weight of a fully loaded bus. In Spider-Man Annual #36, he demonstrated that he can hurl a semi-truck with little effort.

He may come across as the underdog in battle but Spider-Man is twice as strong as heavy-hitters like the Green Goblin or Venom.

This may surprise you since he sometimes struggles while fighting criminals with no superpowers. The reason why this happens is because Spider-Man is terrified he might kill someone if he hits them at full-force. He can easily knock out a human with a slight tap in the head (and he does this to Flash in Spider-Man: Far From Home). Apart from when he fights ludicrously strong villains like Carnage or Morlun, Spider-Man will never use his full power in battle.

After learning this, it makes you admire Spidey even more, knowing that he could end any fight in an instant but he refuses to. Even when he is at death's door during a fight, he will still hold back because he refuses to take a life.
