12 Things You Didn't Know About Kingpin

7. His Strength Is Ridiculous

As mentioned, Fisk trains every day to maximise his strength and fighting prowess. Despite his skill, you'd assume he couldn't compete against people with superpowers. I mean, Spider-Man can lift 20 tons. There's no way Kingpin could hold his own against that level of strength, right?

Wrong. Despite harbouring no superpowers whatsoever, Fisk cannot be underestimated since he is as strong as a person can be without being classified as a superhuman. In the 2019 story, Amazing Spider-Man #12, he ripped a man’s arm off with his bare hands. When a thug called Mr. Big accused the Kingpin of going soft, Fisk crushed the gangster's head until his skull burst Game of Thrones style. Another time, he squashed a guy's head so tightly, his eyeballs popped out of their sockets.

You might think, "Why doesn't a psychic like Jean Grey or Professor X just knock him out with a telepathic blast? If they can't beat him physically, they can defeat him mentally, right?"

Unfortunately, Kingpin’s willpower is so astounding, he can repel psychic attacks. He resisted being mind-controlled by Zebediah Killgrave (also known as The Purple Man.) When Killgrave used his powers to make Kingpin shoot himself in the head, Fisk simply said, "No. I give the orders now".
