Yes, it's ridiculous that there was once a comic book that featured Animal Man and Zatanna as headline characters designed to draw readers in. It's just as ridiculous that there was once a comic book that featured its nominal star, Supergirl, unconscious and being dragged by a man into some non-consensual marriage situation.
