At Comic Con, your smartphone is the most indispensable bit of kit you own. It's your way of tracking down friends whilst you're on the convention floor, which would otherwise be the most stressful game of Where's Wally? ever devised. It's your go-to camera when taking photos with the creators and celebrities you'll no doubt be meeting down Artist's Alley and during signings. It's also vital for keeping track of all the latest news about the convention on social media, especially when it comes to secret and unannounced panels, after show parties and the like. So make sure that your smartphone is not only there, and fully charged, but also easily accessible. There's no use dumping it in your backpack, because you'll miss any alerts and won't be able to reach it in any timely manner. What if you suddenly need directions to Hall H, for a panel starting in two minutes, but the phone with the app is strapped to your back and concealed beneath food wrappers and comic books? Stick it in your pocket or, if you're really brave, plump for a fanny pack or one of those little bags that goes around your neck. You'll look a fool, but you'll have the last laugh when you get to the mystery Arrow panel and touch Stephen Amell's face. Or security will. We'll see!
