Arguably the most iconic image to come out of the Amazing Spider-Man series is that on the cover of its fiftieth issue, which portrays a downtrodden Peter Parker turning his metaphorical back on his alter ego of Spider-Man with the tagline "Spider-Man no more!" (which would go on to become a famous line from the film Spider-Man 2) displayed prominently in the corner.

What really ties this image together, however, is the subtle look of disgust the giant apparition of Spider-Man gives Peter as he shirks his responsibility.
