15 Greatest Amazing Spider-Man Covers

12. The Amazing Spider-Man #525

The Amazing Spider-Man #238
Marvel Comics

Publication Date: 26 October, 2005

Cover Artist: Mike Deodato

The Amazing Spider-man #525 was a part of the first act of the bizarre "The Other" storyline, which spanned three different Spider-Man series. Every issue in the first act had red tint throughout, including the covers.

This cover in particular features an emotional Spider-Man at the grave of his uncle Ben. It's an incredibly powerful, well-drawn cover just on its own, but it also takes on a whole new meaning considering the early issues of this storyline were loosely based on the Kübler-Ross model of grief, leaving the cover's exact meaning up for interpretation.
