Once upon a time Ralph and Sue Dibny were the hallmark of wholesomeness within the DC Universe. They were a couple madly in love and forever devoted to one another. Nothing could shake their rock solid relationship, and then Brad Meltzer had to take a huge dump all over it. In 2004, DC released a major crossover called Identity Crisis where it was retconed that back in the day Doctor Light raped the Elongated Mans wife, Sue Dibny. When the Justice League found out, the lobotomized Doctor Light and mind wiped Batman, who objected to Doctor Lights punishment. This whole story pretty much ruined the DC Silver Age, casting a long shadow across DCs greatest heroes. First and foremost, having a character raped in a story is often a sign of bad writing. Sue Dibny, who was also murdered in Identity Crisis, had no agency and was simply a plot device to usher in a darker, grittier DC Universe, where heroes dont always act like heroes.
Since childhood, Bryant has been an avid fan of superheroes, and he has been reading comic books since 2006. His full name is "George Bryant Lucas"; however, after enduring countless Darth Vader jokes, he has chosen to go by his middle name. Born and raised in the United States, Bryant is currently living with his lovely wife in the country side of Wiltshire County, UK. Bryant does suffer from a mild case of dyslexia; misspellings and homonyms are to be expected on occasion.
