8. The Evil That Men Do; Kevin Smith Specifically

Just when you thought it was safe to go back to comic books, it turns out Kevin Smith turned his skills to a Marvel title as well. Spider-Man/Black Cat: The Evil That Men Do was a miniseries by Smith and artist Terry Dodson that mainly dealt with the latter character, the cat burglar known to her friends as Felicia Hardy, started off on dodgy footing. Spider-Man and Black Cat a fun pairing whose adventures have a flirty undercurrent, so the best thing to do with them in Smith's eyes was have them delve into the murky criminal underworld of heroin dealers. Yay!

Over the course of the pair's attempts to bring down drug baron Garrison Klum, it is implied that the Black Cat is sexually assaulted by the villain. Then the story ends with her meeting Garrison's younger brother Francis, who was molested by the villain as a kid. Which is when Black Cat reveals she is a multiple rape victim, and her initial attack inspired her to start training herself up as an anti-hero in the first place.

So that's a bunch of topics that should be tackled in a Spider-Man comic. Especially when the male victim of abuse becomes goofy villain Mysterio at the end.
