7. Deadpool Is Drunken Iron Man (Deadpool #7)

This was a great issue and one which played out as a parody of the comics of the 1980s and a campy throwback to the comic books of old which included things like letters from the editor and other comic book mainstays, such as "Stan's Soapbox.". Mixing Deadpool and a struggling, somewhat ailing Tony Stark provides some absolute comedy gold, albeit mostly dark humour and much of it at the expense of Stark himself, and proved that humour can be found in pretty much everything. Deadpool's take on Stark's alcoholism in this issue was one of the moments of the year. After looking for clues at Stark Industries regarding Stark's whereabouts, Deadpool finds Tony at a run-down dive of a hotel. Tony is complete a mess (and is watching the old "Howard the Duck" movie) and Deadpool knows just how to help him feel better. They grab a tall bottle of booze and start dumping it all and Tony loves how empowering it makes him feel to not be drinking. Then, a news story appears on television about a nuclear power plant that is near melting over. Tony wants be the hero and save the day, but Deadpool knocks him out. Deadpool then puts on the Iron Man armour, explains to a lifeless Tony that this job requires the kind of Iron Man that Tony can no longer be - a drunken one. Deadpool flies away while swigging copious amounts of alcohol, saying "here comes the armoured Avenger's most intoxicating adventure!" Both the artwork and script were fantastic in this issue and this moment was undoubtedly the highlight.
