The best thing about Venom is just how personal his hatred of Spider-Man is. When the hero outed journalist Eddie Brock as a fraud, his career was left in tatters, drawing the symbiote to him and setting the hate filled villain on a collision course with Peter Parker. His popularity may have resulted in Venom becoming something of an anti-hero for a time, but he's a truly evil character who has an advantage over Spidey thanks to his ability to cloak himself from the wall-crawler's Spider-Sense. Venom has been diluted over the years after becoming a hero in the hands of new host Flash Thompson, but the classic Venom remains one of Spider-Man's greatest adversaries, even if Spider-Man 3 did mess him up!
