Spider-Man's costume, at first glance, appears to be extremely nerdy and laughable but, over the years, it has become nothing short of iconic and now portrays the webbed wonder as a figure of fear amongst Marvel's villains. Sporting the classic red and blue of Superman, the costume also has a completely immersive face mask, a spider on the chest and a spider web design on the red areas (it also lacks the cape - which makes sense given that Spider-Man can't fly - and the somewhat embarrassing external underpants). Spidey's muscular toning has improved over the years which, of course, gives his entire look a more formidable feel, but the costume itself, while a little bit geeky, is definitely cool.
