Of course, there absolutely had to be a truly armoured hero in this list and Iron Man is undoubtedly the most iconic armoured hero in comic books. Boasting a plethora of nifty powers and abilities that include flight, enhanced physical strength and (of course) durability, as well as a number of in-built weapons like energy blasts and missiles, the Iron Man suit is a veritable feast of gadgets and gizmos that Tony Stark can use to take down his enemies. What gets it on to this list, however, is the look. With a sleak, slimline style and a very cool red and gold colour scheme, it really is the Ferrari of powered armour in the comic book world.
