15. He Suffers From Depression
Hinted at during Frank Miller's initial run and then explored in further details during "Born Again" (an arc which saw The Kingpin systematically destroy every facet of Matt Murdock's life), Daredevil's depression is something which has continuously plagued him in the years since. Of course, that's really no surprise given just how many traumas he's endured. Surprisingly, it's Mark Waid's lighter take on Daredevil which has arguably done the best job of exploring Matt's mental health issues as the character has been depicted as struggling to fight off the crippling weight of depression by putting on a cheery demeanour. His issues are even something Matt has bonded with Hank Pym over, another hero with problems.
