The 90s were a strange time for the comic business, as struggling sales resulted in all manner of gimmicky stories as publishers struggled to increase interest. One of these was a rare Marvel/DC Comics crossover which saw the heroes and villains of both companies combined to create new characters. The Joker was mixed up with Sabretooth, and thus Creed Quinn was born. He would later become known as Hyena and also the Cackling Canine, and his main foe was Dark Claw, another product of Weapon X. Can you guess who that hero was made up of? Batman and Wolverine of course, so this creation made sense. Giving The Joker all the powers of Sabretooth resulted in a very interesting new dynamic for the insane Clown Prince of Crime, but like many Amalgam creations, it all felt too forced.
