3. Robert Downey, Jr. Hates Iron Man?

Ok, not exactly, but he certainly didn't value the character's comic books all that much in his younger days. In 1981 at the age of 16, Robert Downey Jr. received a one day suspension from school for snatching a comic book from the hands of one of his classmates and calling him a nerd as he tore it to pieces in front of him. That comic? An issue of Invincible Iron Man (and hopefully not one which is now worth a lot of money). This is just one of those strange coincidences, as little did the youngster realise at the time that he would one day be playing Iron Man on the big screen with a legion of those comic reading "nerds" worshipping him.
