24 Strangest Celebrity Cameos In Comic Book History

22. Perry Como

Perry Como was certainly a one of a kind person. Not only was he a major figure in the realms of radio and television, he was also an amazing singer. Still, many recall Como for combining all three into the show Kraft Music Hall, which was an instant success and lent Como a strong legacy of three stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for each category. In his prime everyone loved him, including the extroverted reporter Lois Lane. In one such issue of the Superman comic book, Lois develops a headcold which, while killing her, also provides her with a beautiful singing voice. Launching herself into a musical career, Lois meets and falls in love with Como. Even though they grow a lot of fond memories of fighting off crooks during their adventure together, Como realises that Lois is simply fangirl'ing over him and helps her get back with Superman. In a surprisingly unconventional ending, however, Lois dies after failing to treat her cold, leaving both Como and Superman heartbroken.

21. Eminem

If his semi-biographical picture 8 Mile proves anything, it's that rapper Eminem has led a rough life on his road to success. When you have that kind of real, raw power, you'd think that an appearance by Eminem on the equally-gritty Punisher title would be intriguing. Not exactly. The story features Frank Castle being hired to protect Eminem from a hitman called the Barracuda. However, since Eminem thinks the Barracuda is his ally, he spends most of the issue dishing it out with Castle before finally knocking him out. Barracuda takes the opportunity to capture both, but one thing leads to another and let's just say that the story ends with Eminem chainsawing Barracuda in half and apologizing to the Punisher for his misunderstandings.

Red Stewart is big fan of the entertainment industry, with insights into film, television, and video games for starters. Despite growing up in the 21st century's era of modernization, he prefers many retro era ideas over the current trends found in many of today's media. Personally he's an introvert who loves reading as much as gaming.
