The Celestials are essentially a group of godlike cosmic entities who have existed in the Marvel universe since its birth. They are each tasked with a different responsibility, such as judging whether the civilisation of a planet will live or die, surveying and mapping the geography of planets and, in one case, maintaining and monitoring the mutant Apocalypse, who uses some of their technology to augment his powers. There are way too many Celestials to list individually and they all possess the same amount of power, so they find themselves in this list as a collective. They appear as silent, armoured humanoids with an average height of around 2,000 feet. They can create pocket universes, move planets and possess the destructive power to turn the incomprehensibly durable Asgardian Destroyer Armour to a pile of slag.
17. Kronos
Kronos is a mysterious and rarely seen member of the Eternals. He is the cosmic master of time itself within the Marvel universe and is a powerful figure within the universe's cosmic landscape. He lost his physical form due to a massive cosmic explosion (the result of a cosmic experiment gone wrong) and resides between the space/time continuum as an ominous figure who observes matters of galactic importance. He can achieve pretty much any effect he wishes simply by willing it. As a result, his powers include telepathy and cosmic awareness, control over the souls of deceased mortals (even using the souls to animate artificial bodies which he created himself using inanimate matter). As the embodiment of time, he can also exert a degree of control over its very flow, which he does very subtly when it is required of him. He is also incomprehensibly intelligent. He occasionally manifests as a huge transparent humanoid so lesser beings can perceive him, in the event that he needs to communicate with them.
