There's nothing that causes a reader's eyes to roll more than a superhero or villain introducing himself in an overbearingly self-aggrandising manner. Deadpool does that here, but he's far too self-conscious to just let it slide. Instead, the voices in the yellow boxes say what everyone else is thinking - this is shameless, pandering self-promotion, and it's all a little bit embarrassing...
