5. Steve Trevor
The human, non-superpowered handler of the Justice League of America, Colonel Steve Trevor is likely to be on the chopping block for several reasons. Since the series began, the Justice League of America has felt like a disparate group with no real unity because they're an arbitrary collection of individuals with no ties to one another. Steve Trevors death could unite the group in the same way that Agent Phil Coulsons death did in The Avengers movie a human brings together the superheroes in a way he couldnt have otherwise. Trevor's death also gives Wonder Woman some time in the spotlight as she and Trevor once dated and there could be a storyline as she struggles with her feelings for the departed Steve and gives DC the option of exploring their fleeting romance in a flashback miniseries. It also adds another layer of depth to her character. It could easily happen because Steve Trevor simply isnt a popular character. Hes bland, hes ordinary, hes Steve Trevor. It's likely he could be the one to trigger the War as he has connections to both the Justice League and the Justice League of America and if someone from Justice League Dark accidentally (or purposefully) kills him for some reason then it draws them all together. I doubt he'd be killed at the end because he's not a big enough character to be the focus of an Event's finale but as the first one to fall? I think he's a strong contender for death.
