5 Incredibly Weird Things From The Avengers Comics In The 60s

2. Tony Stark Needs To Be Charged Like An iPhone

11picture 11 The arc reactor is one of the best additions to the Iron Man mythos. A lightweight source of almost limitless energy that Tony Stark managed to build in a cave! With a box of scraps! Showing that Stark could create such a device in captivity with second hand parts was a great way to explain his genius in a tangible way. It was also way better than the original concept. Originally, Tony had to rock the whole chest piece of his Iron Man suit. As he was first conceived, Tony wasn€™t the arrogant, attention-loving egoist we know and love from the movies; he kept his dual identity as Iron Man a secret, claiming Ol€™ Shell Head was just a stooge on his payroll. Somehow, he managed to conceal a bulky metal tank top under his clothes without raising suspicion. I guess he never allowed himself to be touched by anyone, ever. 1212picture 12 What€™s worse is that the thing needed to be charged constantly. He would do this by plugging himself into a wall outlet and sitting around until it was replenished. And you thought charging your mobile was annoying.
