5 Reasons The Joker Isn't The Greatest Comic Book Villain
5. Clowns Are Lame
Joker's theme is essentially that of a clown. And, come on now, the clown shtick is old and lame. Granted, he's not your typical circus clown, but a gimmick that includes flowers that squirt stuff, Jack-in-the-boxes, hand buzzers and white face paint is as near as dammit to one of the most corny and annoying types of individual that exists in the world today. And sure, it's creepy, but it's just more silly than anything else. The Joker has certainly evolved over the years to become more sinister and murderous but, at some point, a complete reinvention may well be in order as the clown theme can't last forever before it starts to become ridiculous.
