5 Reasons You Should Be Reading Batman: Zero Year

1. The Narratives To ComeMadbatz ... Because I think things are about to get quite messy. As it stands Gotham is powerless, on more than one level. The police, as if not busy enough maintaining civil order, now have some kind of masked man indulging some kind of delusional sense of social justice. That however isn't enough; throw in someone called Doctor Death who seems to be killing people in a very unique manner, oh and a doorway out in the middle of the desert somewhere. Furthermore, a certain Doctor Pamela Isely, a future avatar of the Green, showed up and a flash forward shows Gotham over run by plants. Coincidence? I think not. As the Batman myth promulgates and permutates like a fractal of story telling Bruce's journey to dominance and infallibility becomes progressively harder. In the old continuity Bruce had to wait until Year Two and The Long Halloween before he encountered many of his family of villains in quick succession. Zero Year is seemingly different creating the idea that some of them, in some form or another were there before he even began.

David is grateful not only for the opportunity WhatCulture! has given him but also for the tens of thousands of views that you have given him. Particularly, when he still considers his efforts as somewhat clumsy and amateurish. Like H.P. Lovecraft, David will probably never be happy with his own work. Still this doesn't stop him studying E-Prime, Game Theory, Tantra, Magic, Media Analysis & Criticism along with many other things outside of his top secret day to day job and writing for WhatCulture! All of this in a no doubt conceited effort to improve not only his writing but also himself as a person.
