4. The New 52 Reboot Worked
There are still some nay-sayers, but you cant argue with the tearaway success Batman has seen since the reboot. Whether The Court of Owls arc could have existed without a reboot is debatable, but if the reboots intention was to provide a jumping-on point for new readers then it worked, at least as far as Im concerned. Before the reboot, I was a trade paperback reader only, relying on the internet to fill in my gaps in understanding. The New 52 allowed me to start reading the monthly issues, largely unencumbered by more than 50 years of continuity.
