In The Superior Spider-Man #, the Horizon Labs building disappeared in a ball of temporal energy and with it, Otto disappeared for an unspecified amount of time. We never found out what happened to him and it seems like he doesn't remember much either but it was recently announced that The Superior Spider-Man would be returning for two issues in August to cover what happened on the other side. Our best guess is that he travelled to the other side of Grady's time door (The one Miguel O'Hara used to travel to the present) and ended up in New New York - in the 2099 Universe. How does this affect the future of Doc Ock? The last time we saw the character he had made his mind up that Peter deserved his place on earth and forfeited his second chance at life for the good of the city - which, thought not impossible, makes a return to the land of the living seem largely debatable. So that leaves the possibility that someone else will take his place, perhaps a different version of Doc Ock from the 2099 Universe? As we've already seen from the ultimate universe, Doc Ock exists in different states across different Marvel universes, so the opportunities presented if an alternate Ock travelled back through the rift are almost limitless. What do you think? Which of these would you like to see happen and more importantly which one do you think is most likely to happen - or do you have a completely different theory?
