3. Black Canary - Green Ring (DCeased)
So, DCeased is a thing, an incredibly popular thing at that - and with moments such as this, it's easy to understand why.
In the second issue of the zombie series, none other than Dinah Lance (AKA Black Canary) becomes the new Green Lantern of Sector 2814, replacing the now deceased (pun intended) Hal Jordan.
The reveal came almost out of nowhere and was truly shocking, the ring immediately going to Dinah after Jordan is killed. It's the exact kind of reason DC's Elseworlds tales work as well as they do, but it's also exciting in that there's now a possibility that - somewhere down the line - Dinah Lance could also become a Green Lantern.
The thing that makes it even better is how Dinah shows her heroism by stating that she doesn't actually want the ring, but - with the support of Superman - she ends up keeping it. Sure, it may have been kind of weird to have Jordan killed off so suddenly, but it was definitely worth it for this moment.
