8 Alternate Versions Of Comic Book Characters That Would Be Perfect On-Screen

2. Lobo The Duck

Joker Batman Who Laughs
Marvel/DC

Howard the Duck has always functioned best as an absurdist comic that takes itself way too seriously. Lobo the Duck is the most extreme version of this concept and would certainly find an audience with the right team behind it.

Amalgam Comics was a temporary joint venture between Marvel and DC. From 1996-1997, Marvel and DC characters battled one another and then combined into unique amalgam characters. One of the most ridiculous and hilarious amalgamations was between the intergalactic bounty hunter Lobo and the wisecracking fowl Howard the Duck. Thus, Lobo the Duck was born.

The whole joke of Howard the Duck is that there is no joke. These insane situations are approached with the seriousness of a hard boiled detective tale. Well there aren't many characters who invite as many insane and meta situations as Lobo. Combine this with Lobo's extreme personality and this has the potential to be a unique and hilarious movie.
