2. Eric Finch's LSD Trip - V For Vendetta

Chief of New Scotland Yard and Minister of Investigations, a position which has become known as the "Nose," Eric Finch is the man who is given the task of tracking down V. In an effort to find out more about V, Finch travels to the abandoned site of Larkhill Resettlement Camp, where V had been a prisoner who was experimented upon. Whilst there he takes LSD, hoping that the drug will conjure up memories of his own rocky past and to put his mind in the role of a V, to help give him some sort of an appreciation of what V has been through. The experience allows him to experience V's sense of finding his freedom, and when he returns to London, Finch is a changed man, realizing just how many atrocities Norsefire had committed over the years. Still believing V to be a murderer, though, Finch continues his efforts to hunt V down. The scene is so powerful because it simultaneously shows us what both V and Finch have been through during their tortured lives. It also marks a massive turning point for Finch's character, snapping him out of his weary acceptance of Norsefire's actions, and putting him on the long, lonely road to redemption.
