Batman: The Animated Series optioned what many would consider to be the definitive version of the Dark Knight, and with it his world and cast of supporting characters. Bruce Wayne had Kevin Conroy, and the Joker had Mark Hamill - the rest is history.

One thing that both actors have proven adept at is the back and forth between both characters. There are nuances to the pair's rivalry and none of it is lost on either party, as they've illustrated time and again in repeat outings.

For Hamill, one of things he's best at doing with Joker is showing the clown's tipping point, and one of the best moments where he gets to show that off comes in Harley & Ivy, the episode where his abused sidekick Harley Quinn falls in with fellow Gotham Rogue Poison Ivy. The pair form a formidable partnership, and the Joker, unimpressed that he's being outdone by his sidekick, isn't very happy.

Determined to exert some authority, the Clown tracks the pair down and decides to off Ivy for delaying Quinn's return. He gasses her, but given Ivy's immunity to toxins, it has no effect - which she gleefully declares, before kicking both the Joker and his goons to the curb.

Joker really can't believe what he's watching, and whether it's because he was kicked in the gonads or because Ivy had infuriated him to the point his voice breaks, Hamill's "get him" really shows that the Clown Prince is at his wit's end.
