8 Comic Villains Humiliated By Daredevil

Amongst the pantheon of great Marvel Comics villains, poor Stilt-Man is largely a figure of ridicule.

Despite being one of Daredevil's longest-serving rogues - debuting back in 1965's Daredevil #8 - Wilbur Day is just, well, a bit naff.

To be fair, Day's engineering skills and his impressive suit are clearly formidable. The problem is, the villain rarely ever has any success with his criminal ventures - which is made all the more enjoyable by the sheer brash arrogance that Stilt-Man so often shows.

During 1993's Grease is the Word, Stilt-Man was handed a particularly humiliating defeat. With Daredevil already fighting Taskmaster at that point in time, Wilbur and his leggy suit turned up on the scene to bask in what could well be a brutal defeat for ol' Hornhead.

Instead, despite having the badass Taskmaster to contend with at the same time, Daredevil was able to bring Stilt-Man crashing down in the blink of an eye. From boldly proclaiming DD's demise, Day was soon having to eat humble pie for the millionth time, as Daredevil casually revealed how he'd slipped some cockroaches into the suit of Stilt-Man.

Yet again, this was another humiliating day at the office for poor Wilbur Day, as he was left begging for help in front of a bunch of his fellow criminals.
