The Red Hulk is a bit of a weird character. Misconceptions seem to dictate that he's actually more powerful than his green predecessor, but the actual fact of the matter is that they're on somewhat of an even footing.
Whereas the Hulk gets stronger the angrier he gets, the Red Hulk gets hotter. Like, literally. He goes on fire. No joke.
This brings with it its own advantages, but every creature green or red has a breaking point. Thus, when the Red Hulk engages Banner in Hulk #6, he does so with the erroneous belief that he has the upper-hand, due to the fact he gets stronger the more radiation he absorbs and the Hulk - you guessed it - naturally emits gamma radiation all the time.
Realising that he simply has to take a beating in order to make the Red Hulk vulnerable enough to smash, Hulk simply waits for the opportune moment to strike and fells his enemy in one blow, proclaiming there to be "only one Hulk", and that said Hulk "is green."

In his current role, Ewan incorporates his love of cinema, comic books, and history into written pieces and video essays for WhatCulture's Film & TV channel, as well as WhatCulture Gaming and WhatCulture Horror, with a particular focus on nineties-era Dad Movies, old school Westerns, and Golden Age Hollywood Noir. John Carpenter is his fave, and he thinks Batman Beyond should never have been cancelled. If that's your vibe, you'll probably like his stuff.
