8 Reasons Why The Marvel Legacy Return Is Nothing To Be Excited About
6. Other Recent Returns Have Been More Exciting
We all knew he'd come back eventually, but this was hyped as a genuine surprise.
Within the last few weeks, Marvel have seen a number of returns announced or hinted that, if anything, are far more exciting than the return of Wolverine.
Phoenix Resurrection: The Return of Jean Grey (the adult one) was announced mere days before Marvel went and spoiled the Marvel Legacy return, which would feature the return of Jean Grey the adult, the actual Phoenix, and a beloved character who hasn't been seen for nearly a decade. Moreover, Jean Grey is arguably one of the hearts of the Marvel Universe, and was certainly the heart of the X-Men for the longest time, so this announced return was huge.
Similarly, the current ongoing story in Astonishing X-Men seems to be leading to the return of Professor Charles Xavier, another heart of the Marvel Universe and long missed character who's been dead for a while longer than Wolverine. His return would be a bit more complicated, what with him being dead for a while and his corpse being desecrated by the Red Skull and all, but Xavier certainly seems to be on his way back, and is a long missed and sought after return for the fans.
And hey, we also just got a non-Nazi Captain America back too, so even that's bigger news than the return of Wolverine.
