8 Worst Things Harley Quinn Has Ever Done

3. Becoming A Serial Killer

Much has been made of DC Animation's decline in recent years, but while efforts like The Judas Contract and Batman: Bad Blood struggle critically, every now and then, a good film does come along. The Return of the Caped Crusaders series (which featured the cast of the sixties Batman TV show) was wonderful, and Justice League: Gods and Monsters - Bruce Timm and Alan Burnett's Elseworlds feature - was revitalising.

Prior to the film's full release in July 2015, a number of animated shorts set in the world were uploaded to YouTube just beforehand. The one that focused on Batman was menacing, with the character in the G&M reality being a vampire not averse to the prospect of chowing down on Gotham's criminals.

And, as this world had a Batman, it also had a Harley. Going by the name of Harlequin, this version of the character was decidedly more sinister than her mainstream counterparts, operating in Gotham as a chainsaw-wielding serial killer, as opposed to having fallen victim to the Joker years earlier.

Unlike Leatherface, however, this Harley didn't have a family. Instead, she turns her victims into a set of models to be her own 'model' family, decapitating, dismembering, and then reassembling an ever-growing collection of cadavers in her Gotham hideout.

Gods and Monsters is a riot, but Harlequin is bound to give even the most seasoned of Batmen a run for their money.
