9 Cool Batman: Knightquest Moments Everyone Forgets About

4. The Catwoman And Batman Relationship

Bruce Wayne as Batman has had many loves over the years, from Vicki Vale and Vesper Fairchild, to Talia al Ghul and Silver St. Cloud.

Still, no woman has had a more tumultuous relationship with him than Selina Kyle, the sometimes ally and sometimes enemy known as Catwoman. No matter which side of the law she is on, there is always an undeniable chemistry between Selina and Bruce.

Unlike other classic Batman characters who would encounter Jean-Paul Valley, for Selina Kyle there was never a moment of doubt or hesitation. From the moment she set eyes upon Batman's new armoured visage, she knew that he was not the man she had such strong emotions for.

It is Valley who comes out of this encounter changed the most. The almost puritanical religious fanatic is left to contend with new feelings of attraction towards his latest foe.

Selina exploits the entranced vigilante and uses it as an excuse to flee Gotham City with the McGuffin that had drawn her there in the first place. Like the Joker, when Catwoman encounters Valley in the future, she is aware of his time as Batman, and continually exploits his naivety and attraction towards her.
