Batman: A Visual History

2005 saw the release of the first of Christopher Nolan's three Batman movies, Batman Begins.

Christian Bale played the Dark Knight brilliantly in a franchise that earned around $2.5 billion, with 2008's The Dark Knight and 2012's The Dark Knight Rises both earning more than $1 billion at the box office each. It was the franchise that saw the iconic portrayal of The Joker by the late, great Heath Ledger.
