Black Widow: 10 Insanely Dark Moments That Won’t Be Used

6. Her Scars In Age Of Ultron

For a woman whose job is to get in fights pretty much constantly - and who has been doing said job since the 1940s - it's kind of surprising that Natasha Romanoff has no known wounds to speak of.

There's sense to this - as any spy with a distinctive face wound is likely to fail the 'espionage' aspect of the job - but it's weird that so many comics have had Black Widow take serious hits and come out without a scratch on her.

Which makes the one time they did all the more special. Mainly because it came as such a surprise, but also because it's such a serious, grotesque wound it's more than a little hard to look at.

These scars are unlikely to appear in the film for two reasons. Firstly, because they appeared within the Avengers: Age of Ultron series, which has already had a film adaption - and secondly, that there's no way anyone is willing to deal with the backlash that would come from marring the character in the MCU.

I like my comics like I like my coffee - in huge, unquestionably unhealthy doses.
