Comics Review: Naruto Chapter 550: Koto Amatsukami

This chapter was filled with some intensity and a couple of interesting twists, with a last panel that looks as though it could change the way that this war is shaping up.

After the cliff-hanging final panel in last week€™s Naruto chapter, readers should be prepared for a blow-out chapter and while I will explain what happens in the chapter within this review, I should warn those who may not have read this chapter that it will contain some spoilers from here on out. Itachi activates his Mangekyo Sharigan and a crow comes out of Naruto€™s mouth that seems to have its own Mengekyo Sharigan. The crow flies away and leaves Naruto confused at why he spat out a crow. He then remembers about the power that Itachi said that he would give him if the time came when he had to stop Sasuke if he became a villain. Nagato then senses that Itachi is about to use the Amaterasu (a black, never-ending fire attack) and warns Naruto. Killer Bee tries to stop them with the throw of his sword, only for Nagato to reflect it back against his own will. But we see Itachi looking at the crow with its own Sharigan that no one seems to know what he is trying to do. However, Kabuto is shocked to find out what Itachi has just done while controlling all the ressurected ninjas in the war. The crow lands on Naruto€™s shoulder and Itachi tries to use his Amaterasu again, only to hit Nagato€™s multi-headed dog. Naruto lands on a nearby tree and uses it on Nagato€™s giant bird and on Nagato himself. Itachi jumps on a tree near Naruto and explains to him that he is no longer under Kabuto€™s control and that the eye of the crow is actually an eye from a powerful Uchiha named Shisui Uschiha, managing to activate its power known as the Koto Amatsukami, which activates a type of powerful Genjutsu. Itachi then explains that his original plan was to have the Genjutsu cast upon Sasuke if he would ever have Itachi€™s eyes transplanted and use the Mangekyo Sharigan against Naruto. With the plan now out of the way, Naruto tells Itachi that he can entrust the safety of the village to him and as they are talking, Kabuto is interested in the power of the eye and takes full control over Nagato. With Nagato now under Kabuto€™s full control, he pushes the Amaterasu away from his body and immediately attacks the three ninjas with a powerful push from his giant, invisible chameleon and as he is about to attack Killer Bee, he turns himself into the Version Two Form of Eight-Tails. He charges at him with a full blown Lariat and Nagato absorbs Killer Bee€™s chakra, with his hair changing back to red and his skin looking youthful again. Naruto tries to stop him, but the invisible chameleon grabs him and ends with Nagato grabbing onto Naruto€™s chakra and starting to pull it out. This chapter was filled with some intensity and a couple of interesting twists, with a last panel that looks as though it could change the way that this war is shaping up. Let us know what you think will happen in the next chapter in the comments below.
