Of all the characters to have called Apokolips home, Darkseid is undoubtedly the most famous.
The tyrant, who would later go on to 'inspire' Marvel's Thanos years later, is one of DC's most notorious adversaries, and one of their most powerful too.
His omega beams never miss, he's super strong, a tactical genius and a menacing immortal. He's pretty much the worst thing that could ever happen to the Justice League, and with that in mind, it'll be interesting to see whether or not he takes a prominent role in the film. DC could, after all, be saving him for something later down the line.
That said, it's difficult to imagine a Fourth World film without him involved, and with both Orion and Mister Miracle bound to play a key role, it's more than likely that the Lord of Apokolips will feature - presumably with an army of Parademons by his side.

In his current role, Ewan incorporates his love of cinema, comic books, and history into written pieces and video essays for WhatCulture's Film & TV channel, as well as WhatCulture Gaming and WhatCulture Horror, with a particular focus on nineties-era Dad Movies, old school Westerns, and Golden Age Hollywood Noir.
